Two Broncos Earn Top 25 Finishes in Regular Season Finale

MARICOPA, Ariz. – The Boise State women's golf team wrapped up the regular season with a seventh-place finish at the Cowgirl Classic, firing an 874 (+10). Leia Chung tied for 13th with a 216 (E) and Callia Ward tied for 25th at 219 (+3) to lead the Broncos. Boise State fired its top score of the spring, posting a 288 (E) in the opening round. Chung and Brooke Patterson had the group's best individual rounds, with Patterson carding a 70 (-2) in the first round and Chung matching that score on the final day.

Notables

Leia Chung earned her team-best sixth top 25 finish of the season, moving her career total to 18, tied for seventh-most in program history.
Chung finished even-par or better for the fourth time this season and 11th time in her career.
Callia Ward notched her third top 25 finish of the season and was one of four players in the field to tally an eagle, firing hers on the par-5 third in the final round.
Ward tied for seventh in the field in par-5 average (4.67) and total pars (42).
Brooke Patterson fired a season-best 70 (-2) in the opening round and finished with a season-low 221 (+5).
Jaime Hards carded a career-low 75 (+3) in the first round.
The Broncos' 288 (E) in the first round was their best 18-hole score of the spring, as was their 54-hole score of 874 (+10).
Boise State's team average of 4.92 on par-5s ranked third in the field. The Blue and Orange led the field in pars (194) and had the fewest double bogeys (2).

"This team is capable of some low rounds and we showed glimpses of that these past two days. There were great individual performances for Leia and Callia as well.
