No. 19 Boise State Defeats South Florida, Florida International

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Beach Volleyball had another dominant showing on its home courts on Friday, defeating South Florida and Florida International on the first day of the Boise State Beach Bash.
The Broncos (15-11) defeated the Bulls (18-8) 5-0 and the Panthers (8-14) 4-1. The victories extended the program's home winning streak to 26, which remains the fifth-highest active win streak in the nation.
Boise State opened against South Florida. Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden scored the first point of the day for the Blue and Orange, winning in straight sets from the No. 2 position. On court four, Addison Moss and Elli Wolthuis claimed the first set but dropped the second. After a back and forth start of the deciding set, the duo powered through to win 15-12 and give Boise State a 2-0 advantage.
Charlee Ellena and Luna Ingaramo secured the dual with a straight-set victory from the No. 5 slot. The Broncos completed the sweep with dominant victories from both the No. 1 and No. 3 positions.
The final dual of the day against Florida International got off to a thrilling start. On court four, Moss and Wolthuis secured the first set but lost the second. The tandem rallied back from an early deficit to claim the third set 15-10 and give the Broncos the first point of the contest. Not even a minute later, Anderson and Wolden won a three-set victory of their own from the No. 2 slot to give Boise State a 2-0 advantage.
After a dominant first set on court five, Susannah Barnett and Lily Patock cruised to a two-set win from the No. 5 position to secure the win. Avery Allen and Keira Demirjian also won 21-15, 21-18 from court three for another Bronco point. Florida International claimed the final point of the dual with a victory from the top court.
