4/11/2026 7:50:00 PM | Women's Beach Volleyball

BOISE, Idaho – No. 19 Boise State lost its final two contests of the Boise State Beach Bash on Saturday.

The Broncos (15-13) fell to No. 11 Grand Canyon and Washington on the day. The losses snapped a 26-dual home winning streak that began in 2020.

Against Grand Canyon, Addison Moss and Elli Wolthuis claimed a first-set victory from the No. 4 position, then clawed back from an early deficit in the second to give Boise State a 1-0 lead. After dropping the first set, Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden gave the Broncos a 2-0 advantage with a three-set victory from court two.

The Lopes (18-10) responded, first claiming a straight-set victory from the No. 3 position. Grand Canyon evened the score moments later with a win from the No. 5 slot, before completing the reverse sweep with a straight-set victory from the top spot.

Anderson and Wolden put the Broncos on the board first against Washington, winning in straight sets from the No. 2 position. After claiming the first set, Moss and Wolthuis fell from the No. 4 slot as the Huskies (16-11) evened the score. Washington won back-to-back contests from courts five and one, respectively, to secure the victory.

Notables
- Addison Wolden moved into sole possession of fifth place in program history with 72 career victories. The junior entered the day tied with Sierra Land (2021-24), who finished her career with 71 career wins.
- Wolden and Ava Anderson picked up their 19th victory as a pair on the season to move to the ninth-most in program history.
- Anderson finished the weekend with 80 career victories, becoming the second player in program history to achieve 80 or more.
- Anderson has now played in 139 career duals, passing Emilia Guerra-Acuna (137) for the most in program history.
- Addison Moss and Elli Wolthuis have 13 career wins from the No. 4 position, one shy of the program record from that court.
- Boise State honored its eight seniors following the dual against Washington. Allyson Alden, Ava Anderson, Anika Christensen, Makayla Dimond, Lily Patock, Serena van der Made, Abbie Wolf and Elli Wolthuis were all recognized.

Quotables
"Both teams defensively took away a lot of our common tendencies and forced us into boxes. We'll go back and look at the film to see what kind of adjustments we can create before next weekend." - head coach Alex Venardos

"These seniors have been the face of the program for four years. They've represented us so well both on and off the sand. I speak for the whole athletic department when I say we're going to miss them walking through the halls, and our program specifically miss seeing them on our courts every day. We're going to take advantage of the time we have left with them." - Venardos

What's Next
Boise State will wrap up its regular season at the Alki Invitational on April 17-18 hosted by Washington. The Broncos will take on Oregon and Portland on Friday before facing off against Florida Atlantic and Washington on Saturday.
