Cole Rueck Named Mountain West Golfer of the Week

Senior golfer earns weekly honor for second time in the spring
BOISE, Idaho — Boise State senior golfer Cole Rueck was named Mountain West Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday.

Earning the distinction for the second time in the spring, Rueck is the second Bronco to garner multiple Mountain West Golfer of the Week accolades in the same season, joining Brian Humphreys, who accomplished the feat on Feb. 7 and March 21, 2017. Rueck previously took home the honor six weeks ago on Feb. 26.

In the final team tournament of the spring, Rueck led the Broncos to a third-place finish in the UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate at Sandpiper Golf Club. Collectively, the team shot an 869 (+5) and had three golfers in the top 25.

Playing 54 holes in two days, Rueck fired a 211 (-5) and shot a 71-69-71 in the three rounds. Capping the tournament in a two-way tie for second place, Rueck notched his seventh top-10 finish of his senior campaign and 17th for his career.

Boise State returns to the course on April 20-21 for the third-annual Battle of Idaho. Having won the first two duels in 2024 and 2025, the Broncos will compete against Idaho at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise.
